Nowadays, the training in aeronautics is based on both theoretical courses and practical activities. It is important that trainees can apply their knowledge under real life conditions. The main concerns are the high training costs, mainly due to the aircraft being taken out of service and the price of the simulated failures that the instructors need to inflict. Such high training costs are extremely difficult to afford for training centers. More efficient and cheaper solutions need to be found to guarantee the accessibility to a high educational training level.
The Inno66 project is a practical solution for reducing the costs when increasing the quality of an aircraft maintenance training course.
